It is worth pressing PAUSE & REWIND from time to time.
Some call it mindfulness. I call it a conversation with God. I do it often.
Do you ever wake up and find yourself reflecting on your journey, and then exclaim, “Lord, you are unbelievable!” I was just reminiscing about the days when the pain was so unbearable that I wished for death. Wearing shoes caused agony, my clothes felt like they were burning me, and even swallowing food was excruciating. My nerves seemed to be having a never-ending party that I was never invited to.
But God transformed that pain into something incredible that I often find myself amazed by. I observe myself today and sometimes feel like I’m watching someone else. Seven years ago, I couldn’t even fathom standing for five minutes.
Now, I effortlessly carry 100 packed snacks at once and confidently stand at pop-up markets, all while having enough energy to attend church and engage in conversations. It’s mind-boggling!
This morning, as I sipped my coffee, I reflected on some of the flavors and phrases customers share with me at these pop-ups. I can only say, “Only God!”
He knows our destination, and I’m just here for the ride, a living testament to His kindness and mercy. Taking a moment to sit and contemplate how far we’ve come is truly beneficial.
